VM Creation Error Troubleshooting.

This guide helps you quickly identify and fix common errors that occur while creating a Virtual Machine (VM) on the CloudPe platform.

1. Common VM Creation Errors

1.1 “No available Public IPs”

Cause:
The selected region has run out of public IP addresses.

Fix:

  • Choose a different region (e.g., create the VM from West-2 to West-3).
  • If the VM does not need a public IP, create the VM with a Private IP only.

1.3 “Insufficient quota”

Cause:
Your project has reached limits for CPU, RAM, volumes, or GPU quota.

Fix:

  • Delete unused VMs or volumes.
  • OR request a quota increase from CloudPe Support.

1.4 “Network/Subnet not found”

Cause:
Incorrect network selected or the required network resources were deleted earlier.

Fix:

  • Re-select the correct network/subnet during VM creation.
  • Create a new private network/subnet if missing.

1.5 “Volume creation failed”

Cause:
Storage backend error or insufficient storage capacity.

Fix:

  • Try creating the VM again.
  • Check if the storage quota is full.
  • Create the volume manually and then attach it to the VM.

3. When to Contact Support

Contact CloudPe Support if:

  • The error persists in multiple regions
  • The Public IP pool is exhausted
  • Image or flavor issues appear

Provide the following details to support:

  • Error message screenshot
  • Region name
  • VM flavor
