Meet our three new NVMe storage tiers | CloudPe

We’ve been listening to how you use storage on CloudPe, and it’s time to give you more choice. Today we’re introducing three new NVMe storage tiers – Eco, Standard, and Pro. Each one is built for a different kind of workload, so you only pay for what you actually need.
Eco NVMe
This is our most budget friendly option. You get up to 15000 IOPS and 500MB per second of throughput at just Rs 4.5 per GB per month. The catch is that Eco uses erasure coding instead of three way replication. That means if a disk or server fails, recovery takes a bit longer. Also, you cannot directly change an Eco volume to Standard or Pro later. You would need to migrate your data to a new volume. So Eco is great for test environments, backups, or any data where you can tolerate slower recovery and don’t need instant tier changes.
Standard NVMe
You might know this as General Purpose – we have renamed it to Standard to keep things clearer. It gives you up to 25000 IOPS and 1000MB per second throughput for Rs 6.2 per GB per month. With three-way replication, recovery is fast when hardware fails. The best part: you can upgrade from Standard to Pro without any downtime. No migration, no fuss. This is your reliable everyday tier for web servers, application data, and general use.
Pro NVMe
This is our performance beast. Up to 50000 IOPS and 2000MB per second throughput at Rs 8 per GB per month. Like Standard, it uses three way replication for fast recovery. You can also downgrade from Pro to Standard without downtime – handy if your needs change later. We recommend Pro for demanding workloads like databases, ERP systems such as SAP, and GPU powered VMs where every millisecond matters.
Eco for low cost and less critical data. Standard for solid performance and easy upgrades. Pro for the heaviest lifting with flexibility to move back down if needed.
All three tiers are live now on CloudPe. You can create new volumes with any of them from your dashboard. If you have existing General Purpose volumes, don’t worry – they are now called Standard, and nothing else changes.
As always, reach out to our support team if you are unsure which tier fits your project. We are happy to help you choose.
